Day 01: Delhi
On arrival, just past midnight, you are met by our executive and accorded a
royal welcome and escorted to the hotel Imperial / similar, where we already
have done a pre check in for you to save time. New Delhi begins with the drive
past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753 AD) on the way to Qutab Minar (1193 AD) this striking
medieval tower of victory of Persian World is 73 m high. Within the Qutab complex,
amidst the ruins of Quwat-ul-Islam mosque, stands the Iron pillar which has
stood the vagaries of weather and has not rusted over 1500 years. Then drive
through New Delhi includes the Embassy area (Diplomatic enclave), Government
buildings, India Gate, Sikh Temple (Bangla Sahib Gurudwara), Birla Temple and
Connaught Place, New Delhi's main shopping area. Visit Humayun's Tomb - considered
to be the fore runner of Taj Mahal.
Day 2: Delhi
Your day would begin after a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Your personal
guide takes you to the fantastic sites of old and New Delhi. The sites include
the Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat (Gandhi's memorial), Humayun's tomb and the 12th
centaury Qutab Minar. During the day you also drive through the government
buildings like the president house, the parliament, India gate and the Sikh
temple. Evening we cease the opportunity to host you a welcome dinner at the
Village Bistro on a rooftop. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Leh
Transfer to airport for Leh flight. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Rest of the
day free. Leh, the capital of Ladakh is a fascinating destination. Age-old monasteries,
quaint lanes, colorful markets and stunning views of the Himalayas make Leh
an exotic destination. Leh is where your adventure in Ladakh begins. You can
go trekking through the mountainous terrain of Ladakh, enjoy a game of polo
in a high altitude arena or watch an archery contest where local residents compete
in a contest that remains unchanged by time. Mountaineering, white water rafting
and wildlife tours are other adventurous attractions of Leh Ladakh India. Though
the weather can be freezing cold, the smiles on the faces of the Ladakhi people

Day 04: Leh
Morning visit Leh Palace, Leh Gompa, Bazaar. Afternoon excursion of Phyang
& Spituk Monastery.
Day 05: Leh
Full day excursion of Shey, Tiksey and Hemis. Drive to Hemis visiting enroute
Shey Palace, Thiksey monastery. Shey palace was built in 1645 by Deldan Namgyal
as a summer residence for the kings of Ladakh. It is the oldest palace in Ladakh.
Thikse Gompa is the most picturesquely situated in Ladakh. Its buildings are
arranged at various levels, leading up to the private apartments of the incarnate
lamas. From here one has a magnificent view of the valley. Hemis Gompa is one
of the most important in Ladakh, the largest and also the wealthiest. It was
built in 1620 by the king-architect Singe Namgyal, a great patron of Buddhism.
Hemis is the location for numerous religious festivals throughout the year.
Day 06: Leh
Full day excursion of Tatak and Chemrey Monastry.
Day 07: Leh- Alchi and Kargil
After breakfast, we leave for Kargil en-route visiting Alchi and Lamayuru. Alchi,
located 70 kms west of Leh, is the Uletokpo camp where we arrive rest, have
lunch and then leave for a tour of Alchi monastery and the nearby village. Considered
one of the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh, the Alchi monastery
has beautiful paintings on its walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art.
In Alchi village you can see the rural lifestyle of the villagers including
activities such as grinding wheat etc. Lamayuru monastery, also called the Yung-drung
(Swastika) monastery, Lamayuru is one of the oldest monasteries in Central Ladakh.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at Lamayuru village and explore its surroundings.
Day 08: Kargil- Srinagar
Drive to Srinagar. Overnight in deluxe house boat.
Kargil: About 15,000 sq. kms. in area, Kargil district has an agrarian
population of approximately 120,000 people, who cultivate the land, along the
course of the drainage system, wherever artificial irrigation from mountain
streams is possible. About 85 % are Muslims, mainly of the Shia sect, Islam
having been introduced to the original Buddhist population around the middle
of the 16th century by missionaries from Kashmir and Central Asia. Their descendants,
locally titled Agha, are mostly religious scholars who continue to hold sway
over the population, even as the age-old traditions of Buddhist and animistic
origin are discernible in the culture. Many elements of the ancient supernatural
belief systems, especially many traditions connected with agricultural practices,
are still followed with subdued reverence.
Day 09: Srinagar 
Morning Excursion of Mughal Garden visiting Shalimar, Nishat and Cheshmi Shahi
Gardens. Afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting vegetable markets, floating
gardens etc. Srinagar is located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude
of 1,730 m above sea level, spread on both sides of the river Jhelum. The Dal
and Nagin lakes enhance its picturesque setting, while the changing play of
the seasons and the salubrious climate ensures that the city is equally attractive
to visitors around the year.
Day 10: Srinagar
Full day excursion of Gulmarg. British discovered the hill resort of Gulmarg
in 1927 during their colonial rule in India. Originally called 'Gaurimarg' by
shepherds, its present name was given in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah,
who was inspired by the sight of its grassy slopes emblazoned with wild flowers.
Gulmarg was a favourite haunt of Emperor Jehangir who once collected 21 different
varieties of flowers from here. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort
of exceptional beauty- it also has the highest green golf course in the world,
and is the country's premier ski resort in the winter.
Day 11: Srinagar - Delhi
Transfer to airport for Delhi flight. Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day 12: Departure
Transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey
